How does Custom work?
Design Consultation
We meet at your convenience and discuss what you might want in a gown. We will look at silhouette, color, neckline, and fabric.
Design Presentation
We go over the gown design in closer detail by presenting you with a digital sketch rendered in color and fabric of your choice. At this time body measurements are also taken.
Estimate:
Once you are happy with the details of the design we provide you with an estimate for your review. We sign a contract and secure a 50% deposit towards the cost of the garment. At this time we schedule a muslin fitting.
Fittings in muslin
In order to assure a perfect fit of your gown it is necessary to create a sample in muslin. In fashion design a muslin is a basic cotton cloth that is used to make changes to the design without wasting expensive fashion fabric, Generally designs require up to 3 fittings in a muslin before the fashion fabric is cut.
Custom Order Agreement
All custom sales are final at Spangelo Designs. A non-refundable deposit of 50% of estimate is required before the first muslin fitting. Once contract is signed between client and designer the design can not be changed. Remaining balance is due at final fitting/ garment pick-up.
